<p>Method for producing an image of an object (14), for example, tissue having fat and water components. A shaped pulse sequence is selected (106) for each of the waveform, phase and frequency components of an RF signal. A uniform magnetic field is then generated (108) to magnetize the object (14). An RF signal which includes the selected waveform, phase and frequency pulse sequences is generated (112) to produce transverse magnetization in the object (14). First, second, and third changing magnetic fields are then generated (114) in the object (14) and a series of gradient echoes are produced in response thereto. From the gradient echoes acquired (118), an image of the object (14) is produced.</p> |
