<p>To refinish the edge of cutting tools, an electrolytical bath (18) is provided into which the tools (16) are immersed for a predetermined time period under a predetermined electrical potential. The surface edge or layer of the tool, worn or weakened in case of use or weakened due to the stress induced therein by the tool manufacturing process, is removed by the electrolytic bath. The removal of the surface layer containing the weakened material greatly enhances and lengthens the effective working life of the tool.</p> |
