A method for assembling and calibrating a transducer whose control device may be driven with less travel than the overall transducer travel by a control mechanism which may adopt any position between a first end position and a second end position. When the transducer is assembled, the transducer (9) is calibrated (a) by placing said mechanism in a predetermined one of the end positions and determining the value of the signal output from the transducer (9), (b) by placing said mechanism in the other end position and determining the value of the signal output by the transducer (9), and (c) by deducing, on the basis of said values, constants A and B of the law of variation of the signal output by the transducer (9) according to the position of the mechanism. |
