Acoustic wave cleaning-bath - uses loudspeaker system for mechanical oscillation of cleaning fluid using audible frequencies

The cleaning bath comprises a container (2) holding a cleaning fluid (6) which is oscillated via an oscillation generator (9) employing a loudspeaker system providing sound waves within the hearing range of the human ear. A mechanical coupling is provided between the oscillating part (12) of the loudspeaker system and a movable or flexible container base (4), for mechanical oscillation of the cleaning fluid (6). Pref. a second loudspeaker (40) lying on the outside of the cleaning bath (2) provides 180 degree phase-shifted sound waves, with automatic frequency and vol. control in dependence in the frequency and vol. of the sound waves provided by the first loudspeaker (9). ADVANTAGE - Uses low-cost loudspeakers rather than ultrasonic transducers.
