This device comprises a housing (1) with a vertical opening (2) and a movable rainproof flap (4), a casing (6)/chute (10)/baffle (11) assembly for guiding and slowing down falling mail, a plate (12) provided inside the receiving box (3) for catching the mail over an arm's length away from the opening, and a resilient plate suspension assembly (13) for cushioning the landing of the mail. Said device is particularly designed for letter boxes on fences with vertical openwork or in buildings with confined entrance halls.</p> |
