The ball-jointed handle is for a fishing line spool. It has curved studs for the fingers (3) which screw in to diametrically opposite sides of the ball (1). The ball (1) is housed in a cylinder (4), secured by a bolt (5) and positioned by a bearing race (2). The bolt (5) connects the ball (1) to the crank (9) and is tightened by a nut (6).
