<p>A method of inducing gene expression in a mammalian cell or an intact mammal comprising contacting an ecdysteroid, such as muristerone A, with an ecdysteroid receptor polypeptide within a mammalian cell, wherein said mammalian cell further contains a DNA binding sequence for said ecdysteroid receptor when in combination with its ligand, such as muristerone A, thereby resulting in gene expression.</p> |
