摘要 A structure in which close-packed (less than 0.1 inch of each other) impedance-controlled (no more than about 25-50 % variation) electrical connections can be made. The electrical conductors may have low resistance, capacitance and inductance, even when the conductors or their environment comprises fast-switching and/or high-frequency signals, such as those exceeding 10 GHz. A conductive planar element (101) has a primary pathway (203) in which a conductor segment (204) may be disposed, insulated from the planar element (101) and capable of being coupled to other conductor segments (204) on at least one side of the planar element, and has one or more secondary pathways (205) which are conductive and coupled to the planar element (101). When more than one of such planar elements (101) are coupled together, the conductor segments (204) may be coupled to form a conductor which is substantially isolated from electromagnetic influence and thus impedance-controlled.
