A holder 1 for use in supporting a hand held hair drier from a stand 2 and being operable by one hand 22 only of a user to receive a hand-held hair drier held in the other hand of a user. The device comprises spring biased jaws 3 and hand gripping parts 5. It is attached to a vertical stand 2 by means of a clamping device 29.
