A plate of this invention is used in the repair, reconstruction and reinforcement of wood members of a wood structure such as a pallet. The plate comprises a plate of sheet metal having a plurality of sets of teeth struck from the plate to form a plurality of openings in the plate. Each opening has a set of teeth spaced at intervals around the opening extending generally at right angles to the plate, and each opening is defined in part by a plurality of triangular portions of the plate convergent toward the center of the opening. Each tooth of each set has a shank portion extending outwardly from the plate and an outer end portion at the outer end of the shank terminating in a tip at the outer end of the tooth. The shank is of generally uniform width along substantially the entire length of the shank and has generally straight, generally parallel side edges. The outer end portion of each tooth has side edges converging from the shank side edges to form said tip.
