The evacuation ladder comprises rungs (3,3A-3E) which are secured at either end to two U-shaped side poles (1,2). The outer pole (2) which has its U-shaped profile facing may be dropped out from the folded ladder, with the inner pole (1) and (2) being brought together to form a sealed cavity facing inwards which contains the rungs and which upon dropping down will lead to the rungs adopting a horizontal position. The rungs have an S-shaped profile when viewed from the side and each comprise a first vertical section, a first flexible rounded curve, an inclining middle section, a second flexible rounded curve and a second vertical section. The vertical distance between the rungs is the same in the folded and unfolded ladder state. |
