This invention concerns a raised area constructed of modular plates 1, 2 with one modular plate 2 containing a foot switch 15. The foot switch is protected by a U-shaped cover placed over the actual foot switch which contains an encapsulated microswitch. The foot switch which is recessed into a modular plate can be set using an adjusting device so that it lies on a precise level with the upper side of the modular plates, and with a foot positioned flat over the foot switch this can be operated simply without exerting the foot and leg muscles between each operation, while at the same time an extremely small muscular exertion is required for operation. <IMAGE> |
