The carrier is applicable in the agricultural industry. It provides a high survival rate and efficiency of the nitrogen-fixing bacteria, which increases the yield of leguminous plants and makes it possible to utilize waste from the wood processing industry. According to the method, timber sawdust is treated with an set of microorganisms, including cellulose decomposing fungi from the Cephalosporium family and the nitrogen-fixing organism Azospirillum brazilense, registered in the National Bank for Industrial Microorganisms and Cell Cultures (NBIMCC) under No. 1685 and enriched with a combination of macro- and microelements. The prepared mixture is composted and dried. After adding bentonite and calcium carbonate, the product is sterilised.
