The bin with sealing lid is particularly for organic waste. A number of air slots (6) are formed in the lid (2), and are covered on one side of the latter by an odour-neutralising filter. The filter (7) can be interchangeable, and it can be integral with the lid, or it can be inserted in a holder on the top or bottom side. It can be of active carbon in mat or granulate form. ADVANTAGE - Allows air ingress for fermentation while forming no source of smell.
