PURPOSE:To manufacture a skin material having nap, by a method wherein a molded product is formed by stretching a raw fabric over a female vacuum forming mold by facing the backside of the said raw fabric to the female vacuum forming mold by softening the raw fabric having nap on its surface through heating and the surface of the said raw fabric is turned inside out to a surface side of the molded product. CONSTITUTION:A raw fabric 1 is softened sufficiently by heating the same at about 200 deg.C by heater. Then the fabric 1 is strected over a female vacuum forming mold 9. In this instance, when the surface 10 having nap is the surface of the raw fabric 1, the backside 11 of the raw fabric 1 is faced to the female vacuum forming mold 9. The softened raw fabric 1 is cooled by coming into contact with the vacuum forming mold 9, cured and formed after a form of a desired skin material 16. Compressed air is supplied between the vacuum forming mold 9 and a molded product 17 by an air compressor 18 through a through hold 14 of the vacuum forming mold 9 while the outside circumference of the molded product 17 are being kept put between an air-pressure mold 12 and the vacuum forming mold 9 with the molded product 17 held by the vacuum forming mold 9. In this instance, the air-pressure mold 12 is allowed to communicate with the open air by changing over a valve 19. With this construction, the surface 10 of the molded product 17 having nap swollen within the air-pressure mold 12 by turning the same inside out to a surface side of the molded product 17 and the skin material 16 is obtained. |
