The invention relates to novel pharmaceutical compositions intended for ocular administration and to a process for obtaining them. It relates specifically to a process for obtaining pharmaceutical compositions intended for ophthalmic administration in which the active principle is bromocryptine, in which process the active principle is dissolved in methanol and then diluted with an aqueous solution containing a water-soluble inert filler, the mixture is lyophilised and the lyophilisation pellet is then redissolved at the time of use in an aqueous solution containing a preservative, a polyethylene glycol, physiological saline and an ethylenic acid. The solution obtained is a medicament for intraocular hypertension.
