The invention relates to a toothbrush permitting precise timing of the daily brushing time and of the time of use of the said brush for a duration of 3 months. When the toothbrush is taken in the hand, in the brushing position, the thumb exerts a pressure on a contact which triggers an electronic circuit (22) controlling a signal which is either fluorescent, a flash of light or musical, which is active for 3 minutes. This circuit is disabled 3 months after first use. The purpose of this toothbrush is hygiene. <IMAGE>
