PURPOSE:To prevent communication from being interrupted by securing minimum communication by turning off a transmitting function and operating only a receiving function when the remaining capacity of a battery used as a power source reaches a lower limit set value. CONSTITUTION:In the case of speaking (executing transmission/reception), a CPU 17 investigates whether the remaining capacity of the battery is set before a fixed value rather than the lower limit set value or not. Before the fixed value rather than the lower limit set value, based on an instruction from the CPU 17, an alarm is raised by display at a display part 19 or sounds, etc., from a speaker 15, for example. Afterwards, the function of a transmission part 12 is turned off after the lapse of fixed time. Namely, supply from a battery 20 as the power source to the transmission part 12 is cut off and afterwards, a receiving mode is started. Since the transmitting function is turned off, energy consumption is considerably limited rather than the case of executing transmitting and receiving operations up to the moment. Therefore, the receiving operation can be continued for a comparatively long time, and the minimum communication can be executed. |
