PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of unequal colors by forming the spacer materials in a sealing material and the spacer materials within a display surface to the same diameter even if the spacer material in the sealing material enters the display region. CONSTITUTION:Color filter picture elements 2a of a display part and color filter picture elements 2b of a sealing part are disposed together with a display region and sealing part on the surface of the color filter substrate 1 between the color filter substrate 1 and a matrix wiring substrate 3. The spacing between the two substrates is held by the spacer materials 5 within the display surface and the spacer materials 6 in the sealing material. The spacer materials 5 within the display surface and the spacer materials 6 in the sealing material having the same diameter are so used that the spacing between the color filter picture elements 2a of the display part and the matrix sub substrate 3 equals to the pacing between the color filter picture elements 2b of the sealing part and the matrix wiring substrate 3. Then, the color tones of the display region are prevented from changing even if the spacer materials 6 in the sealing material enters the display region. |
