PURPOSE:To continuously carry out switching back of copying paper. CONSTITUTION:Containing parts 32 and 80 are formed inside a device main body 1. A continuous reversing means for a recording medium contained in it by having it switched back is provided in this containing part. The continuous reversing means is constituted from first guiding and carrying means 301 and 302 to carry the recording medium downstream, a second guiding and carrying means 303 provided on and the exit side of the first guiding and carrying means 301 and 302 consisting of a pair of rolls which can be rotated forward or in reverse where one of the rolls 307 is moved able to come into contact with or separate from the other roll 308 so that an end tip of the recording medium is clamped and carrying the recording medium upstream with the changeover reverse drive action of one of the rolls 307, and a third guiding and carrying means 500 carrying the recording medium carried upstream by the second guide carrying means toward the containing part. A detection means is also provided for the recording medium which cannot be guided or carried by the second guide carrying means 303 is also provided. |
