<p>PURPOSE:To allow the formation and removal of a short ring in the state of preventing the generation of noises to an active matrix substrate constituted by providing input terminals to a driver IC for driving switching elements on the outer side of the signal input terminals of gate electrode wirings and source electrode wirings. CONSTITUTION:The short ring 11 consisting of a carbon thin film is formed on the active matrix substrate 20. All of the gate electrode wirings 2 and the source electrode wirings 7 are shorted by this short ring 11. The short ring 11 is removed by a dry etching method or ashing method, etc., after the liquid crystal display device is assembled by sealing a liquid crystal. The capacitors to be formed with the short ring 11 do not, therefore, exist even if the actually produced liquid crystal display device is used in actuality. Since the wrings are not electrically connected by the capacitors, the noises are not generated. All of the gate electrode wirings 2 and the source electrode wirings 7 are held shorted by the short ring 11 at the time of a rubbing treatment and, therefore, the dielectric breakdown of gate insulating films and the destruction of switching elements are of course prevented during the assembly stage of the liquid crystal panel.</p> |
