摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To apply the equipment to a self-routing switch of any form by allocating part of a virtual identification area to a multiple address identifier, sending a cell in multiple address communication when the identifier is set to 0 and avoiding the multiple address communication when the identifier is set to 1. CONSTITUTION:When an identifier BSI of an output data of a header conversion memory circuit 12 is set to ON (logical 0), it indicates a head address of an identifier VPI in a header conversion memory circuit 14. The output data and a count CNT from a counter 13 are inputted to the circuit 14 to designate the address and to obtain a new identifier VPI to be subject to multiple address communication from the circuit 14. A cell composition circuit 15 composes a data IF(h) in an information area attended with other header information of a cell to be multiple address communication from a cell register 11 and a new VPI from the circuit 14 and outputs a complete ATM cell. Furthermore, A cell composition circuit 16 composes a call data IF(h) not requiring multiple address communication from the register 11 and the new VPI from the circuit 12 to output a complete ATM cell. An output from a cell multiplexer circuit 17 is inputted to a self-routing switch.</p>
