<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the image data processor which can output an image with natural gradations without any absence of fine information such as character information even when image data which ranges widely are outputted. CONSTITUTION:The image data processor consists of an area 1 wherein binary image data consisting of M1 longitudinal picture elements and M2 lateral picture elements are stored, an area 2 wherein many-valued image data consisting of N1 longitudinal picture elements and N2 lateral picture elements are stored, a spatial arithmetic means 3 which performs the arithmetic of arithmetic area sizes L1 and L2 (natural numbers L1>=M1/N1 and L2>=M2/N2) for the binary image data in the area 1 to generate the many-valued image data in the area 2, an address means which outputs position information in the area 1 corresponding to picture element positions in the area when the image data in the area 1 are reduced longitudinally and laterally to 1/K1 and 1/K2 (1<K1<=L1, 1<K2<=L2), and a coefficient setting means 31 which sets the correction coefficients of the spatial arithmetic means 3 corresponding to the K1 and K2.</p> |
