PURPOSE:To shorten the time required for searching a grinding condition by observing the cross-section shape or the like of a magnetic head during the grinding. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic head grinding device which grinds a magnetic head 1 attached to a rotating head attaching drum 2 by pressurizing a lapping tape 3 on the above mentioned magnetic head, is equipped with a laser displacement meter 4 close to the head attaching drum to which the above mentioned magnetic head is attached. |
