PURPOSE:To reduce the quantity of transmitting information and to accelerate transmission by processing the information of a visually unnecessary image part and transmitting the processed information. CONSTITUTION:In a transmission equipment 3, an image decomposing circuit 2 decomposes an image to an image group constituted of picture elements selected at sampling intervals successively thinned in a direction from a user's remarking area to its peripheral area. A coding circuit 4 executes the coding processing of the image group and then successively sends the processed image to a network 5 or an information storing system 6 from an image in the remarking area at first. In a reception equipment 8, a decoding circuit 7 decodes a received image and an image synthesizing circuit 9 interpolates picture elements in the remarking area. An image output device 10 repeats the interpolation and the substitution of defective picture elements to improve reproducibility and then outputs the processed image. Consequently image transmission can be accelerated and the performance of this transmission system can be improved. |
