PURPOSE:To improve the developing property of the printing plate and to easily reproduce even a minute spot by exposing the original plate, dipping the plate in a processing soln. contg. 2 specified alkylene carbonate and then developing the plate in the presence of solvent. CONSTITUTION:The water-free lithographic printing plate is exposed, then dipped in a processing soln. contg. >=0.5wt.% of at least one kind among the alkylene carbonates shown by formula I and developed in the presence of water or a solvent consisting essentially of water. In formula I, R<1> and R<2> are respectively hydrogen or 1-6C alkyls. Ethylene carbonate, propylene carbonate, 1,2- butanediol carbonate, etc., are exemplified as the alkylene carbonate. |
