MOVEMENT DETECTING CIRCUIT

PURPOSE:To obtain a movement detecting circuit capable of highly accurately and stably detect also the movement of a signal transmitted together with a moving vector especially in the case of detecting a moving 19 area in an image signal in respect to a video signal processor for demodulating a high quality televions signal transmitted by band compression based upon offset sub-sampling. CONSTITUTION:An one-field difference signal is formed by a field memory 2 and a subtractor 5 and the absolute value of the formed signal is found out by an absolute value circuit 9 and inputted to a switching circuit 14. A moving vector signal detected by a moving vector detecting circuit 12 is binarized by a binarizing circuit 13 and whether the binarized signal is to be added to said one-field difference signal or not is controlled by the circuit 14. Since the one-field difference signal is used for movement detection at the time of sending the moving vector by a MUSE signal, highly accurate movement detection can be attained.
