PURPOSE:To supply two kinds of voltages for vehicles without requiring any special converting means. CONSTITUTION:An AC generator 1 comprises first and second power generation circuits. The first power generation circuit comprises first-third armature windings 12a-12c, whose phases are shifted from each other by 120 degrees, first-third single phase bridge rectifiers 13a-13c, which are connected to the first-third armature windings 12a-12c respectively, and a voltage regulator 14, which adjusts the current flowing through a field winding 11 in order to so regulate the voltages obtained from the respective rectifying circuits 13a-13c as to be constant respectively. By taking out AC outputs from the middle points of the respective armature windings 12a-12c and by passing the synthetic voltage thereof through a voltage-current regulating circuit 16, the second power generation circuit can supply the voltage having the half value of the voltage generated from the first power generation circuit. |
