<p>PURPOSE:To improve the throughput (the number of jobs ptocessed per unit time) of an information processor by completely initializing a memory while resetting the information processor. CONSTITUTION:When the information processor starts operating, a reset signal is generated from a reset circuit 1, a CPU 2 is reset and the reset signal is transmitted to an address counter 6 as well. Synchronously to clock signals, the address counter 6 successively generates addresses which values are increased one by one. The reset signal is transmitted to a direction control circuit 11 as well, and the direction control circuit 11 switches a multiplexer 7 so as to adopt the address from the address counter 6 and switches a multiplexer 9 so as to adopt data (an initial memory value) from an initial value data register 10. Therefore, initial values are successively written from the initial value data register 10 to destinations designated by the addresses from the address counter 6, and the memory is initialized.</p> |
