PURPOSE:To provide the discriminating method and device of a coin where the coin which satisfies the electronic acceptance condition of the coin being the regular coin at a lowest level is unaccepted and the coin which fully satisfies one, at least, kind of condition is accepted. CONSTITUTION:When the three respectively different kinds of data are detected from the passing coin so as to be extended on a three-dimensional coordinate, truth or falsehood is discriminated by whether respective kinds of data belong to a place inside a specified three-dimensional closure function area or not. A discriminating device is provided with a coin route where the coin to be selected passes, exciting means 111a, 112a and 113a which are provided along the coin route and excits the passing coin, three detecting means 111b, 112b and 113b respectively detecting the exciting state of the excited coin, amplitude wave-detecting circuits 124-126, integration circuits 127-129, an A/D converting circuit 130 and a judging means CPU judging the truth or falsehood of the coin by whether the three respectively detected kinds of data belong to the place inside the three dimensional closure function area on the three-dimensional coordinate being previously set or not. |
