PURPOSE:To enable a trimming device to be enhanced in trimming accuracy. CONSTITUTION:A laser trimming operation is carried out using a thick film resistive board 4 where an L-shaped conductor pattern 41 is formed close to its corner along its sides which cross each other at right angles at the corner concerned, a main control 100 detects the positioning error of the board 4 basing on the positional relation between a positioning guide 1 and the conductor pattern 41, and the irradiation starting point with laser rays is corrected basing on the detection result concerned.
