<p>PURPOSE:To save energy by preventing the primary core and the primary winding from heating upon separation of transformer in a power supply comprising the transformer which can be coupled or separated freely. CONSTITUTION:The power supply comprises a transformer 5 having a primary winding 5A and a secondary winding 5B freely coupled or separated therefrom, a switching element 3 connected with one primary winding 5A of the transformer 5 in order to turn the current ON/OFF, and an AC/DC converter 2. A permanent magnet 13 for generating a field is disposed on the secondary winding 5B side of the transformer 5 and a Hall element IC 14 for detecting thus generated field is disposed on the primary winding 5A side of the transformer 5. The Hall element IC 14 detects the field of the permanent magnet 13 when the primary winding 5A and the secondary winding 5B are coupled or separated and then turns the switching element 3 ON/OFF.</p> |
