PURPOSE:To realize the optical writer for an image forming device of small size with simple configuration in which an original illumination light source is integrated and its coupling optical system is simplified. CONSTITUTION:In the optical write head having wiring structure in which a drive voltage is applied to a fluorescent body 3 arranged in the unit of picture elements via a photoconductor 8, an original illumination light source 6 is integrated with an optical write head. An original is irradiated with a light from the original illuminance light source 6 11 through a transparent board and its reflected light and the photconductor 8 is irradiated with its reflected light through a refractive index distribution area 9 formed to the transparent board 1 to apply a drive voltage selectively based on an image of the original 13 to the fluorescent body 3. Moreover, a light shield slit 12 is installed in front of the luminous body such as the fluorescent body 3 or the like and the signal light from the fluorescent body 3 is mainly extracted from the optical write head.
