PURPOSE:To adjust an internal flux distribution of a superconducting coil operating in a permanent current mode by short-circuiting coil ends. CONSTITUTION:Two flux adjusting coils 21,22 arc fitted onto an outer periphery of a superconducting coil 1 and they are placed separately from each other along a center axis 30, whereby a flux density distribution with a center curve slacking where the center part is low and both sides are high is generated. Since superconducting coil current varies to prevent generation of flux density, a peak of the flux density distribution is mainly offset, resulting in incomplete offset of the center magnetic field. Therefore the residual magnetic field is utilized for adjusting an internal magnetic field of the superconducting coil. |
