PURPOSE:To provide a rotor of an AC generator for vehicles, which enables its electromagnetic noise to be decreased without reducing the output of the generator. CONSTITUTION:A pair of pole cores 9, 10 is fastened to a shaft 12, which is so supported as to be driven in a rotatable way by the driving force of an internal combustion engine. A rotor coil 8 is so supported as to be sandwiched between the pole cores 9, 10. The shapes of claw parts 9c, 10c of the pole cores 9, 10 are so designed as to increase the output of a generator. On the end surfaces 9a, 10a of the pole cores 9, 10, which are opposed to the rotor coil 8, and on the slant faces 9b, 10b of the end parts of the pole cores 9, 10, fastened are non-magnetic ring-like elements 25, 26 made of copper. The non- magnetic ring-like elements 25, 26 have respectively fan blades 25a, 26a and thick-wall parts 25b, 26b. When operating the generator, since the moment of inertia of a rotor 11 is increased by the non-magnetic ring-like elements 25, 26, the rotational variation of the rotor, which causes an electromagnetic noise, is suppressed. |
