摘要 PURPOSE:To reduce the working burden of an operator end to improve the word recognizing efficiency by learning a probability transition matrix in accor dance with the feature of a recognizing subject when a word is decided out of the recognizing result candidates of a word candidate area for recognition of the voices, the characters, etc. CONSTITUTION:A fact whether the next candidate is included in a recognizing area or not (S30), end a fact whether the next character candidate is included among the word candidates or not (S31). Then the characters are decided out of the recognizing result candidates by means of a probability transition matrix (S32). If a character string must be corrected (S33), a correct word is visually selected out of plural candidates and then decided with the direct input correction (834). The combinations of characters are counted through a learning table (S35). Then a fact whether the number of decided words reaches a prescribed level or not (S56). The sum total of the emerging frequency of each word of the learning table is normalized so that the sum total reaches a fixed value. Then each emerging frequency of the probability transition matrix is calculated again through the learning table (S37).
