PURPOSE:To make the destaticizing intensity of a separation destaticizing charger appropriate in accordance with the image area rate of an image leading edge part. CONSTITUTION:The separation destaticizing intensity for the leading edge part of a transfer paper(area which is 5mm-15mm from the leading edge of the transfer paper) is higher than the separation destaticizing intensity for the part of the transfer paper nearer to the trailing edge side of the transfer paper. Then, the separation destaticizing intensity for the leading edge part of the transfer paper is switched to three steps according to the size of the image area rate of the leading edge part of the image where image data is used; small, middle and large, and timing for switching to 0.25kV to obtain comparatively small separation destaticizing intensity for the part of the transfer paper which is nearer to the trailing edge side than the leading edge part is switched to three steps according to the size of the image area rate; small, middle and large. |
