PURPOSE:To enhance reliability and throughput by preventing step-out due to fluctuation of motor performance or load and the timing of motor start, and lowering of throughput due to prolongation of initial lock time or slow acceleration/deceleration. CONSTITUTION:In the control method for polyphase excitation pulse motor wherein rotational angle control of rotor is performed by rotating a combined field vector formed by a plurality of exciting coils, rotor position with respect to the combined field vector at previous stop time is decided at the start of rotation of the rotor (step S14, S15) and then locking process of rotor takes place (step S16-S18) by setting a lock time corresponding to thus decided position. |
