PURPOSE:To improve the space factor and the economy by outputting a 2-dimension image pickup signal by a 2-dimension photoelectric conversion area and a linear image pickup signal by a linear photoelectric conversion area. CONSTITUTION:In a CCD (Charge Coupled Device) image sensor of frame transfer type 10 for checking a mobile body provided with a 2-dimension photoelectric conversion area 11, a storage area 12 storing the image pickup charge by one field obtained at the 2-dimension photoelectric conversion area and a horizontal transfer register 13 outputting the image pickup charge in line-sequencing by one field stored in the storage area 12, a linear photoelectric conversion area 14 is provided at the outside in at least one side of four sides of the 2-dimension photoelectric conversion area 11. Then a 2-dimension image pickup signal by the 2-dimension photoelectric conversion area 11 and the a linear image pickup signal by the a linear photoelectric conversion area 14 are outputted. Thus, the image pickup operation by the 2-dimension photoelectric conversion area is easily controlled based on, e.g. the linear photoelectric conversion area. |
