PURPOSE:To easily and surely switch various functions by providing a changeover switch for switching various functions coaxially with an operating handle. CONSTITUTION:This microscope main body is provided with an observation eyepiece part 3, a motor-driven revolver 4, a vertically movable motor-driven stage 5, a photographing camera 6, and an illumination lamp house 7. Also, in a support 1a of the microscope main body 1, an operating unit 10 is provided. The operating unit 10 is provided with a function changeover switch 11, a stage coarse adjustment and other operating handle 12, and a stage fine adjustment handle 13. The handles 12, 13 move by only one click in the left and the right directions from a regular position, and by this operation to the left and the right, an operating signal of an electric system is generated. The eyepiece part 3 is provided with a means for displaying a selected function in accordance with an operation of the function changeover switch 11. Accordingly, in a state of executing an observation by peeping into the eyepiece part 3, various electric operations can be executed simply and quickly.
