PURPOSE:To offer a cashier device which facilitates the correction of a program and the addition of a function. CONSTITUTION:When the device is powered ON, hardware initialization is performed and then if a floppy disk is loaded on a floppy disk device, a program for correction or function addition is automatically read in from the floppy disk. The read program is stored in a specific area of a RAM. Then a main body program stored in a ROM is started. When the process advances to specific locations of the main body program, it is checked whether or not the program is stored in the specific area of the RAM and when the program is stored, this program is started as a program to be executed in parallel to the main body program for performing one process or part of a new main body program having problem places corrected. |
