<p>PURPOSE:To provide a magnetic card encoder capable of safely controlling various kinds of format information and effectively utilizing the format information as necessary. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic card encoder is provided with a format register area 37 for preliminarily recording plural kinds of format information composed of fixing data and indefinite data to be written in a magnetic card to be issued. This register area 37 is in a nonvolatile readable/writable memory 35 at the inside of a device main body and stores a prescribed format information with the resister number. This card encoder is provided with a control circuit calling the format information in accordance with the format register number recorded in this card from the format register area 37 at the time of reading the existing magnetic card and setting the information to a prescribed area in the device main body.</p> |
