Gas-fired devices for radiant heating, particularly for heating premises such as workshops, gymnasia, are suspended from the ceiling of the said premises. Each of them is composed of a radiant device (10) made up of a cylindrical lateral wall (11), and the lower face of which includes a radiant panel (13) having the emissive surface entirely pointing towards the ground. The said panel (13) is capped by an insulating element (12) and forms, together with the said insulating element (12) and the wall (11), a chamber (14) inside which there emerges the outlet (21) from a gas burner (20) and which includes an opening (15) for extraction of the burnt gases. At least one vertical wall (16) is mounted inside the chamber with its lower edge fixed to the radiant panel (13) in order to guide the flame and the hot gases coming from the burner (20) for the purpose of increasing the active length of the flame between the said burner (20) and the said extraction opening (15). <IMAGE>
