An abrasive material supplying/recovering apparatus for supplying an abrasive material for polishing play media to a polishing device and for recovering the abrasive material therefrom, characterized by comprising: a supplying vessel having an abrasive material inlet opening at the upper portion thereof and an abrasive material discharge opening provided with an openable shutter for supply at the lower portion thereof, and storing the abrasive material for supply; a recovering vessel having an abrasive material recovering opening at the upper portion thereof and a discharge opening provided with an openable shutter for recovery at the lower portion thereof, and storing used abrasive material; an abrasive material lowering guide having an inlet connected to said abrasive material discharge opening and an end portion which can be disposed at an abrasive material take-in opening of said polishing device; an abrasive material sucking pipe having an inlet connectible to an abrasive material take-out opening of said polishing device and an outlet connected to said abrasive material recovering opening; a blower for sucking the used abrasive material into said recovering vessel by a power through said abrasive material sucking pipe; a recovered amount detecting sensor provided in said recovering vessel; and a switch for stopping said blower in response to the detection by said recovered amount detecting sensor.
