The instrument holds open an ureterostomy incision in the uretha, using an elongated ureterostomy rail. A sliding expansion body (13) is mounted on the rail (8), on which there can be a thickened portion (12) at the distal end (11). The latter and the proximal end (9) can be hook-shaped.
