The holder uses diametrally opposed claws which grip the rim of the disc, the claw on one side fixed and the other one movable. Two identical jaws (1a,b) are each composed of 90 deg. claw (3a,3b) and a base plate (2a,b). The claw is stepped into a cone inside, with step height equal to the wall thickness of the base plate and thus to that of the disc (9). At its end away from the claw, the base plate has an arcuate outline to match the disc envelope circle and the distance between the cylindrical interior of the bottom step of the claw and the far end of the base plate equals the dia. of the disc. Both jaws (1a,b) are pivotally joined by a rivet etc. (8) passed through a hole in the centre of the two plates (2a,b).
