摘要

Gas-vapour mixtures generated from electrolyte process, e.g. regeneration of ammoniacal etchant, and contg. H2, are disposed of by exhausting the mixture with a fan (4), after dilution to H2 content below 4% by air dilution (5). The diluted mixture is circulated to a reaction vessel (6) for selective catalytic combustion of the H, without redn. of ammonia. The mixture is returned to the cell (1). ADVANTAGE - Safe disposal without loss of essential chemicals.
