Compsn. contains components stabilising persulphate, promoters, and agents preventing hair brittleness, and (a) 0.01-10 wt.% of ginseng, calculated as ginseng root powder, and (b) 10-80 wt.% of persulphate, calculated as S2O8. Before use, the compsn. is pref. stirred with compsn. contg. H2O2. The blonding powder contains additives improving the free flow, e.g. highly dispersed amorphous SiO2 and/or silicates and/or alkaline earth carbonates, swelling agents, e.g. hydroxyethyl- or carboxymethyl-cellulose, alginic acid and/or cationic cellulose ethers, and dyes. ADVANTAGE - Addn. of ginseng increases the stability of persulphate, and there is no unwanted evolution of O2 from the powder or from the compsns. ready for use. The hair is glossy, smooth, less dry, and not brittle.
