Topical comosn. for treating dry skin comprises: (a) dehydroepiandrosterone (I) and/or its acceptable, therapeutically effective deriv. in amt. effective to increase sebum prodn.; (b) a keratolytic agent (II) in amt. sufficient to counteract acne-like skin lesion formation without diminishing the effectiveness of (I); and (c) a dermatologically acceptable vehicle.
