The continuous speed changer (100) which is the subject of this invention may be employed in all applications which demand a mechanical transmission requiring more thant one ratio between the number of revolutions of the conducting organ and the conducted organ (automobiles, motor-cycles, industrial equipment, machine tools, bikes, etc.). It is a simple, economic changer of robust construction. It essentially consists of a main shaft (400) with motor pinion, a satellite cog (441) capable of oscillating and of lateral movement while maintaining gear contact with the pinion, of a secondary shaft (500) with a cone of stepped cogs (513-519) for the various ratios. Its peculiarity rests in the capacity of the satellite cog (441) to pass to another of the wheels of the cone, to change ratio, with continuity as in a classic continuous changer. It has no limit of transmittable power, high yield in each ratio at all revolution regimes, it is by nature semi-automatic and can be automatised. |
